Just to let you know, it fired and run well, and I have not a clue why!
It’s as if nothing went wrong, to the best of my knowlageI did nothing different to what I have done over the past five days!
Thanks for everyone’s help, it has left me doubting the cars reliability, certainly not a fix at the side of the road.
If I knew why it failed to start I could accept the situation, this has been the weirdest situation I have experienced, at least it is running now. Again thanks for everyone’s help.
Perhaps initially the engine flooded (wet plugs) which would prevent firing, after a time they dried and started. If it happens again foot flat on accelerator and spin starter till it clears.
