Last week I played golf with an ex work colleague, a police Inspector.
We chatted about driving...I went to the golf in my Mog and he loves the car.
One topic was about positioning on a road to increase vision by extending the line of sight. Basically keeping right on left bends, left on right bends. It is part of what police are taught in their training. I think the IAM promote it too. Obviously it must be done safely, no crossing solid white lines, going too far over etc..
However, some people will see it as, at best, erratic and others as dangerous. Some might assume a drink/drugs driver.
I have a dashcam. Why? As a means of evidence in case of an incident but definitely not to become a vigilante.
If you go on youtube there are many examples of footage, even some channels by out and out vigilante type people.
Would I pass on footage? Yes, if to add to evidence of an incident. There are so many minor mistakes, errors though and, being guilty of some myself ( who is a perfect driver?) it would need to be something really stupid/ serious.
