Cain believes it unlikely I have bent or knackered the frame / chassis, more like I have bent a spring because I dared to accelerate without a anti tramp bar! Not that I drop the clutch at high revs etc.. Going to look at it, if I can’t seek and destroy the issue this weekend. If needs be I will swap them over to see if the problem either rights itself or occurs on the opposite side. First though, measuring and bits of string! Then Anti Tramp bars if it does,
Possible but likely??
So why only one spring bent and not both, I wonder? And surely, If it was bad enough to bend a spring beyond its limit of elasticity, you would have noticed tramping taking place when accelerating.
Was the difference evident right from the start? Think I would still be looking at spring quality and finding someone with a hydraulic press where a known loading can be applied at the centre of the spring and deflection measured.
