I used exhaust U bolts to bolt that Mulfab tool to a roof rack . Works a treat if all else fails. The photo is the mark 1 version with jubilee clips.

Thanks John. This is the direction I was eventually going to take: having moved recently I don't have all those old bits and bobs in the garage that I used to have to adapt and improve on tools.
