I always liked the Scimitar though in the estate version, the idea of a non-corroding machine to one who at the time was up to my neck in repairing my rust ravaged old sports cars it had a degree of appeal, though Lotus were just that bit more race car like and thus the Scimitar thinking faded in time..
My first Porsche, a 69 912 came with overly wide rear arches and Wolfrace alloys, a sign of the times perhaps. Nice pic of the reliant, looks to be sitting outside an old aircraft hangar.... Yeah back in the day there was just too much cost and palaver to be taking pics of our toys using film cameras, I don`t even have one pic of my very first car a well rotted old 59 Frogeye Sprite, which took a year of my life to nail back together, before it was written off after less time than it took to rebuild it, and by another young clown...! But then that`s just another story..
