Technically it is based on the XKR-plattform, and the weight distribution is not very fortunate with the engine too far in the front ant the rear being light.
This results in under steering and spinning rear wheels on the spirited drives.

Again, good road car and GT, really, but no replacement for a Morgan.

A shortened version of the XKR platform and the V6 which I had is 50/50. Got to say I never had any understeer but did enjoy spinning the back wheels with launch control. The real issue it has IMO is that its way too heavy at something like 1850 kg for the V8. But it is open top unlike the Alpine
