Pick your perfect storm -

I see the BoE is scrambling to boost the FSCS deposit guarantee scheme to stave off the threat of future bank runs facilitated by the move to online banking. Currently the UK has only £85k of personal money protected while the US has $250k.

Boomer landlords are exiting the market at a rate over 100,000 per annum for the next five years, this will put massive upward pressure on private sector rents while probably diminishing the stock of the most responsible group of Landlords. What did the govt think was going to happen when they continue to bad-mouth the sector, slash CGT allowances and threaten to introduce unworkable restrictions?
