Thanks for your comments and if I wasn't 140 miles away I would have done as you suggested. To be fair to SGT, Julian rang me today and we had a long chat about the servicing issues. He was very apologetic and he promised to discuss the matter with the service manager. I would also like to say that SGT did query the gear change being stiff when I test drove the car and they arranged for the remedial work to be carried out. They did this off their own back and I was very pleased with the result. I have found Julian to be very honest and helpful and have no issues with the way the car was presented and sold. I hope that puts the record straight.
Update:- I had a long chat with Taff and it appears that the definition of play in the front wheel bearings is down to the judgement and experience of the technician. It was checked at the service and deemed to be acceptable. The leaky radiator blank plug remains a mystery and could have happened during the time I have had the car. I must give SGT due credit, that they followed up the problem and I am satisfied with the outcome.
