In terms of the car, it's primarily a GT, not a sports car. It is fast - and will happily dispatch --100mph in under 10 seconds. Accelleration over 100mph does tail off as the aerodynamics begin to play a larger and larger role.
I have driven mine up to a verified 156mph on track (through a laser trap) and the car felt very stable at this speed. However, every car is different, being handmade, so I would be wary in taking the car to this speed without a thorough check over, service and probably building up to this a bit at a time.
They are sensitive to tyre choice - the standard Avons that they came with are not regarded as being particularly great. There are better options, everyone has their favourites.
Other than that there is nothing really contentious about the car - it's really a case of making sure you look after it properly - regular servicing once a year is remarkably cheap so not hard to do.
It is a handmade car - so little things might niggle occasionally - but they will be small, and the advice and cameraderie here will be all you need to resolve them.
