Looking at the business mentality, it would seem odd to throw nearly new radiators in the skip. I suppose it depends what the dealers do with the old radiators, but you would think they would be returned to MMC, and that MMC would return them to the manufacturer.
If the manufacturer is churning out new rads and skipping the returns, you do wonder how long that is a sustainable business model.
We may never know the truth, but having a CX out of warranty with expensive issues like this will affect the used market. At least for those who know.
