Just having picked up my MY23 PlusFour I need to add connection for my CTech and tyre inflator.
CTech will go direct to battery as on the previous car using the supplied connector.
I am tempted to fit a 12V socket under the bonnet fed off the battery ( fused etc) as that would be ok for a tyre top up if out on the road. The car comes with a jack, spanner for wires plus an aerosol can of goo for a quick fix.
I’ll ask Williams to do the socket when the car goes in for it’s first check @1k miles. Being enticed out for runs so won’t be long! First enticement tomorrow.
If you are handy with car electrics some generic colour codes as follows which may help in finding suitable feed for 12 volt socket.:
Brown - permanently live from battery
Brown/red - permanently live and fused
White - ignition switched
Green - ignition switched and fused
Another way is to piggy back say the clock or permanent radio feed needed to keep its station memory. Just check the cabling and fusing is up to the intended task. Finally Hella/DIN sockets far superior electrically to cigar lighter type.
