Our Plus Six started the corrosion when 2 yrs old on both sides. Repaired under warranty. The dealer informed me the original screen fixing holes are made too small, so after initial painting when the allan screws are inserted the Allan heads rip the paint off as they are tightened.. See photo. The leading edge of the screws Allan head is tight to the front where the corrosion started. The answer is to enlarge the hole around the head and repaint.. I also push in around the allan head sides clear vaseline or similar to help stop water ingress.
