Owners who need or want to sell are simply going to have to accept the fact that their car isn't worth anything like it was when it was new.
The days of profit or even getting your money back on a Morgan are long gone.
The days of it being a safe place to put your pension are long gone.
These factors probably add to the slump in the Morgan market, which in itself mirrors the 'toy' car market generally.
Dealers, who also seem a bit deluded, seem to be sat on stock they've had in for ages, either owned or on commision, but at last years prices, or possibly the year before last....!
For some years MMC have wanted to be seen as a big time car manufacturer and create a modern or contemporary car. Now they've created the 'modern' CX platform car they're experiencing the same issues as the rest of the mainstream car manufacturers.
Interest free credit, any colour, any leather, there's not much left to throw at it to stimulate sales....except...... reduce the price, which many would argue is way too high 'for a Morgan'...!
As has been said many times, there's a hell of a lot of choice if you've got £80k+ to spend on a sports car.
