thank you to everyone for their help and advice,i have downloaded the gems manual and am going through it,what a piece of kit!.i am certainly going to invest in a good scanner.the codes were read at a kindly maindealer who i was near to at the time they were very busy, they helped me out as i wasnt booked in my yellow warning light had gone off again when they looked at it,they reset but advised to replace both lambda sensors, car was fine for 150 miles back but started to play up coming off the ferry, fast idle then erratic turnover, exhaust seemed more dirty than before.as i say i am finding my feet.i will speak to mark adams today, iknow with the information given to me and what i have read the immobiliser can and in my case certainly will give me some grief so i will get that sorted before it gets a chance.i would in a perfect world go to and stay with one place, who knew their stuff.i have a more than decent mobile mechanic here and he is more than happy for me to "help" him and learn.electrical problems on the isle of wight are a real pain the service here is pretty grim and usually involves a second opinion on the mainland, getting over the water being the biggest problem.i have just received an e mail from a large parts firm re the sensors that they say fits my car,so will double check that and contact mark adams , i will report back,,,,after waiting so many years t go back to owning a morgan and to start off like this is a bit of a downer ...but it could have been worse i could have brought a tvr thank you
