Where the "Exceptions" setting did not appear to stop AVG from blocking TM-IMG, the Advanced Exceptions does appear to work in Avast (for the present!).

I'm still having problems too, unfortunately I find that the exemptions I set for TM-IMG are removed each time the 'puter is shut down
I have been with them for 20 years at least and AVG does a good job for me, I have enjoyed the image side of things but I'll rest it now I'm not risking the desk top.
