Has sadly passed away today. I always enjoyed his afternoon drive time programme on Radio 2 when on my way home. His humour and interaction with "Sally Traffic" were always worth listening to. His wife Tiggy reckons there'll be a big New Year party going on with all those departed musicians &c. whose music he loved.
