I think its only a matter of time before insurers introduce policy restrictions on EV use, storage and charging.

There may be a possibility that the instantaneous availability of power from EV's and massive acceleration capability, something formerly the preserve of hyper cars, maybe catching the average joe driver out ,as they are not used to or accustomed to it, especially when in wet or slippy conditions. When I first got my 911 Turbo I had to demonstrate to my insurers that I had driven high powered cars before or my premiums would have been really loaded.
