Interesting nay shocking issue. The batteries being discussed are easily seen but consider the smaller size 13 type used in hearing aids - approx 7 x 5mm. A tirade from a nephews wife who discovered one on the carpet of my Mums home many years ago when they brought their two very young boys over from Canada shocked the rest of our family. However on consideration the consequences of one being swallowed are very real. Ironically I'm the one now using hearing aids but am super careful when disposing of used batteries and plan to get rechargeable aids in the near future.
