The worst to me is making the front hood a two man job to lift. Its going to be hard to use any potential space up there when you need to lift the lid off in such a way as it has been designed.
The passenger footwell also have room for a weekend size soft bag (man version that is).
Maybe a left (or right) hand hinged front bonnet is something for the MkII, making it a one-person-one-hand-operation. Also easier to keep dry when opened partly in heavy rain (bringing out your rain-kit etc). The retro "half helmets" with leather on the sides and back does not take that much space and can also be "stacked" to save some extra centimeters.
