John if you mean if it shears, well they don't tend to go anywhere as when the top oiler bolt is tightened they don't spin in the fitting so stay in the same orientation.
And of course if a shear was initiated I think you would have probably stopped! If the car was repairable then hopefully you won't have damaged the Chassis.
