I think it is the only canal with a current .( might be wrong about that )

Yep, sort of, because there's always some slight flow created by discharging locks on Canals as they need 'feeding' at the upper levels or from adjoining streams.
On the Llangollen it's interesting going against the surprisingly strong flow, feels like uphill with extra power needed on the throttle, I've seen a few 'incidents' when inexperienced hirers come downstream and crash into stuff or overshoot bends because they fail to apply reverse in time
It's a lovely walk along the adjoining Towpath & the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is a marvel of Victorian engineering and construction
