John, assuming the slack in hood tension is at the rear, a small amount of tensioning adjustment is available by screwing in the pins each side with flat blade screwdriver after releasing locknuts.

If the slack is at the front check that the nylock nuts on captive screws that secure header rail to frame are not excessively loose each side. They need to be very slightly loose though to allow a little angular variation when header rail seated on windscreen frame. I fitted nylon washers between the two lugs to help.

Finally, and only if necessary, the length of the hood frame can be adjusted to match hood material by loosening the two screws shown in image towards front and moving sliding joint equally each side.
