Thanks for your observations. Do you have any photos of the new seal that was replaced?
I would be very interested in the strap / velcro fix, if you take this further. I agree, it is inherent in the design of the frame hinge points. I don't see an elegant solution at the moment.
I could turn the music up to the point it was audible at 70mph. But it was a very 'tinny' poor quality and it amazed me how unbearably loud it was when I slowed down. At that point I decided no music and earplugs were better for my tinnitus! It's not a problem for me, I never had any audio in my old TR3A and didn't miss it.
Dynamically, there's no comparison with my old Triumph. The Morgan wins in every way. No, the thing that was a surprise is how poorly executed the fit and sealing is for roof, sidescreens and doors. No better than a 1959 Triumph in that respect. And the complete lack of somewhere to safely store a small toolkit from opportunists (here much worse than the Triumph!). I expect I will enjoy working through fixes though, just need some inspiration!
