Julian, I would say this wouldn’t I ……..if you were making 5 to 9p a litre, I think if you regularly got £60 drive offs ( police do nothing) you might be tempted to put the price up even though you have 30,000 litres underground. !?
My friend just sold his family forecourt /leased showroom for nearly 3 million. He had enough of staffing issues, making sandwiches and the shop stealing.
It’s like all retailing businesses , looks easy on the face of it but with many forecourts, undercut by loss leader supermarket forecourts , it was easier to sell the land to property developers..
