Also the car must be level to do the checks. I park it in the garage with both doors open. The oil check takes a few minutes. Why we can't have an oil dipstick and see through coolant tanks I don't know.
I did make a dip stick as my coolant on the low pressure passenger sides settles at 1/3.
I also replaced the cheap rad caps with good ones. The standard ones are known for failing.
