The idea of maintenance costs ever caused me to ignore Ferrari as a marque, ever thinking that Porsche was the more practical top end sports car. I kinda bought into the idea that in the eyes of Porsche form followed function whereas it seemed Ferrari priorities were more about the form... Though all that was back in the day when Porsche were air cooled, from the 996 on, I suspect Porsche have had their share of issues and over the same period of time I also suspect Ferrari may have become better engineered...
JayEmm has gained quite a bit of Ferrari experience in recent years thus his vid on a 2008 California might be worth watching if you have not already watched it John..
