I had a dead Mog last year - would not start.
It was poor earth connections.
Cleaned all connections from battery through to starter and none since.
had similar earthing issues with rear indicators and clening earths did the trick there as well.
Just a matter of lack of use and age - previous owners did low mileage and I don't think they were "hands on" types.
