Brian, I don't know where the paint comments have come from but I'm sure the guy who details aeromans car will disagreed but I stand to be corrected by Aeroman on that.

Paul, knocking 100kg off the weight would take a lot of work and as Krod has said add cost.. I'm no mechanical engineer but saving weight on the mechnicals would be a challenge given the bulk of this is an off the shelf gearbox and engine.

If you looked at the car I weight could be saved on items like the mud guards lights etc but I'm not sures how much that would gain you. This then leaves the chassis where savings would be possible but I wouldn't have thought this would amount to more than 0-30 kg. How far do you go in the direction of a Cateram? I personnaly would consider the replace of leather cover seas with carbon fibre ones a step to far.

425kg would be nice, but Im not going to lose any sleep worrying about it. But then I've even hooning around 2 up with a boot full of luggage. Having now had the chance to drive mine in anger if Morgan address the weight issue and add extra power then driver training should be mandatory, just don't forget those skinny front tyres are only rated for just over a ton.
