In Fords the Duratec is normally covered by a plastic cover and a waterproof bonnet. In a Morgan water flows down through the louvres and into the wells causing ignition problems and rust. Cosworth has a nice carbon fibre coil cover which could help to solve this problem. Does anybody know if this cover fits the cam cover on the Plus 4? Harald

Caterham do a similar cover which is a lot more cost effective.

Andrewr, Do you know where such a cover can be bought -- I have looked at Caterham's site and can't find mention of it
Cheers!

I found a piece of automotive plastic on the roadside, it was the right shape. Took it home cut it to length, fitted the spine of a (4) lever arch file, trimmed the arms and covered them with small diameter fuel hose. The arms needed a spacer to keep the pressure on and make a snug fit. I also fitted a length of 5m bolt into a casting sleeve on the cam cover and fixed it with a butterfly nut. Low cost solution and no water ingress! All the best Tony
