I wrote up instructions on how we installed the "comfort" steering upgrade.

The roads here in Michigan are horrible and for us, this install was totally worth doing. The car is so much more pleasant to drive. You can actually use just one hand now if you are so inclined.

Hi Mol,
Thank you for sharing with us your experience on the comfort kit fitment, absolutely excellent description and brilliant photographs.
My car was the first customer car to have the kit fitted by the factory and yes what a difference it makes. One hand steering no more white knuckles and gritted teeth.Well done!
Regards David

Those instructions are fantastic Mol, well done, it will be really useful for everyone else installing the kit themselves.

I'm amazed how difficult Morgan seem to have made a really simple job. Having worked with Bill Chaplins' Empire kit, the equivalent install of the spacer, takes only about 30 minutes per side, and doesn't involve any drilling or removal of the top joint of the upright, which is a really difficult job as it is loctighted on. It is just a straightforward removal of the track rod ends and substitute with the one piece tapered spacer/riser, the new spherical joint, screwed onto the tie rods and fitted over the top of the spacer/riser, bolt the lot together and Bobs your uncle - done.

Amazingly detailed and informative thanks. I have a lot of trouble to understand many descriptions because the English names of the parts involved aren't taught in school and sometimes I've no idea what is being told. However, with your detailed photosgraphic account it was very easy to understand what went where and how. Thanks again! thumbs
