Ironman
Both my original post and reply were both meant to be humorous and mischievous in equal measure. No offence was intended and I certainly wasn't telling you to do anything other than enjoy your 3W to the max and to do that you may just have to hang on for grim death and you won't even be able to see the sat nav for the vibration.

I used to believe real men used maps, utill I bought a sat nav....

As a former biker I can say with some authority that a bike and maps are a challenging combination. But I also believe that only a complete idiot believes 100% the satnav instructions. Mine is called "Mother" as I frequently know better.

Have to say that google maps used to be a great hybrid system of old and new until they changed all the colours. I now use apple maps on the ipad. I like the combination of gps and a real albeit electronic map

Iron Man please re read the rules on posting. You taking offence of someone's innocuous but tongue in cheek post is a shame though breaks no rules.

Your response with insults is against the site rules and most importantly, as has been amply pointed out, against the spirit of this site.

By all means disagree, debate strongly express that you feel offended but please desist from petty insults. I suggest you re read the posts and I hope and am sure you will see that your response was unnecessary.

Matty thank you for remaining reasoned in your responses, I would add though I haven't used a map since about the year 2000 - how very twentieth century of you wink

Cheers

Oh dear, that definitely makes me an oldgit

I love maps and will plot a scenic route to a rural pub using an OS map.
cheers

We do use the Satnav in France though when travelling to hotels. TlLB has many fine attributes, winky but does occasionally get confused with left and right.

My condemnation should have been tempered by the fact that many marriages must have been saved since the introduction of this technology. Now couples can shout in unison at the map reader

I use my TomTom Rider Sat Nav off the bike with a Bluetooth headset. The satnav mounts to the centre downtube on the passenger side using a RAM V-Base 1.0" Ball RAM-B-108B and a Ram Double 1.0" Socket
