ok first I have not received my 3 wheeler yet its supposed to start production this week or next. but on driving my dealers demo around . I find the keys are not right, I feel the shiny red key thats says Morgan should be the starter key and not the gas cap key ,the plane black key should be the gas cap key. and the mirrors on the stems are useless they should have bullet mirrors which i think they had on the prototype, and I think they had them on the super dry at first. ok thats all I have to complain about,if you can say thats complaining.

You nasty little bugger! laugh2

He starts complaining even before he gets the TW!
Wonder how much he complains when he has his own MTW in the garage or on the street and recognizes that Morgan produces cars only "close to perfection".

Just be glad it's only got 2 keys - if it had doors there would be more!

And bullet mirrors look nice but don't give a view of the road behind - just your shoulder.

Enjoy the anticipation!!

Being an amateur locksmith I was able to modify the lock in the fuel cap so that it could be opened by the ignition key. Frankly it is my opinion that, given the number of vehicles manufactured by Morgan in a year, they do not have a single key system for their vehicles.

They do have a very Morgan single key system; all the locking filler caps use the same key, so with one key you can refuel any Morgan.

Quite true on the current series. Saves the workshops a lot of problems if the owner has only left the ignition key.

Anyway I can fix that too. Not that I would want to. By good fortune the modification that I made on mine for the ignition key just happens to have the same profile as the original key so I can use that too. It would not necessarily apply to modifications made to suit any other ignition key but it may be possible to work it so that both keys can be used.

The main problem was opening up the slot and the guides so that the slightly different ignition key could slide in.
