If someone can host a file for me , I can supply the relevant pages of the S&S X Wedge Service Manual that describe the assembly procedure for the rockers , with clearance details.
I normally use photobucket to host stuff , but pdf's are not images so it doesnt want to play.

If you have a copy of the manual now drk, have a check on page 3-42 and look at the information on "Compression Release Cams". I may be wrong but I cannot help thinking that your "problem" with valve clearances is just the compression release cams doing their stuff. They will hold the exhaust valves slightly off their seats until the RPM is over 500. Someone on TM mentioned this caused problems when trying to carry out a compression check recently. I am assuming it is the exhausts that are suspect, not the inlets? The pushrods and rockers have an initial set up procedure (page 3-4) but are hydraulically self adjusting in use. Your starting problem may be something else.

I just clicked it and it opened up for me. It does however look different to me as in no download button.
But if you hit Open button and then after it opens you can save it to your drive.
I'll check into this and see if I can change the link.
It seems every time I do a link, the darn options are different for me and I always have to do it a couple times to get the right "share" link.
