I'm thinking of treating myself to some Minilites. Can one of you more experienced Morganeers please advise if the Morgan is the same fitment as the MGB?
Mucho gracias, David

I don't know but here is a recent thread all about them which may help - I've not read it as it's not relevant to me. http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/441397/Bolt_on_Minilites#Post441397

Early cars 60's 70's were as MGC , 15'', not MGB which were 14'', also TR4. Later wider rims were as AC Cobra, TR6's I think used the same wheel. MWS who supply MMC should be able to help you.

Sorry, one too many malts! I was thinking wires!. Same scenario for Minilites diameter wise, if yours are bolt on I'm not sure if the PCD is the same as MG's. The Super Sports, Babydoll etc. Knock on Minilites are only available from MMC but I believe they are available from the likes of Williams etc. IIRC the knock on replicas from the MG and Triumph specialists will fit, you'll need to check your offset.

MGB type knock-on "Minilites" are very heavy, probably heavier than the standard wires due to the steel, splined centre section. This will obviously increase the unsprung weight with a detrimental effect on ride (ok, it's a Morgan??) and handling. Might be worth getting some comparative weights.

Talk to Williams about their wheels. Not as heavy as MGB/C variety. I will go for a set eventually - once there is spare cash available...
