Yep, so strange how the specs. vary. As I say the seats on the green one at Oakmere are also standard issue.
I'd like to hear Henry's take on this. Did they run out of seats/side exhausts or is/was it the plan to vary them across the edition?

As an aside, I've read a few comments about difficulties in putting the roof on and even the need for special angled fasteners to make life easier.

Autocar said of the Anniversary roof that you need a Phd in something or another to erect it.

Mine goes on with ease, no pulling, tugging, swearing or anything, far simpler than a Caterham hood and no brute force needed.
Are these all different too? smile

Yes but you have to remember that Autocar are used to complaining if you fit the electric window switches in the wrong place as modern cars are so homogenised.

The side exit exhaust is an Aero racing option on all 4/4s from new. The two cars we have here were not specced with this so come with the standard rear exit pipes. Looking at Kenny car it has the standard sports seat (standard on new orders)
We have the performance seats fitted to ours (again, a cost option) which come with extra bolstering and a lumber support adjustment. I looked back at our orders and the @storage@ in the rear was also an option, we ticked the box smile

With regards to the hood... The traditional mohair on the 80th is very easy to put on... A tip though, whether taking the hood on or off, always start at the back!!

Great info. again Henry. Thanks.

It appears then that 3 different style of seats were used in the 80ths.

All as we said yesterday very interesting stuff.

Cheers.

This thread does rather put an end to the standard Morgan myth:
"They are all like that ....."

No amount of explaining is convincing the buggers I've not touched it lol.

A likely story! laugh

I was curious to see what they had said to you, but I couldnt find a thread on SELOC which is the only Lotus forum I ever used

There's more than SELOC out there. I frequented some Lotus forums when I was teetering on buying an Elise, but the testosterone fuelled know-alls do get tiresome after a while.

Can a luggage rack be fitted to the 80th Anniversary 4/4?
