Enjoy your trip and keep us updated.

Are you travelling alone or in a "convoy"

I have followed your M3W story Q8 and respect you for showing the world the necessary and preventative work that you have had carried out on your car. The company and others have been more than happy to keep everyone in beer goggles lets face it..

The fact that the bill was a little higher than you expected does not surprise me as when working overseas (as I have) you lose sight of UK labour costs very quickly.

Although you stated this I didn't think you seemed unhappy with the status quo, so I am a little puzzled about all the foregoing unpleasant rhetoric it has generated from others.

Enjoy many more miles in your Blue flying machine thumbs.

This forum is supposed to be about camaraderie and fellowship and just lately sadly it seems to have gone awol.

Reading back through the thread I think my initial comments were heavy handed and for that I apologise.

Can anyone help me ?

It's the rotor part 15, fitting around stator, part 18. This forms the alternator.

This rotor differs from one used with earlier Harley style cush drive, hence need to change to match Centa coupling.

Thank you Richard. So to put a Centa on a early 3W we have to consider the cost of the Centa kit and also of a new rotor. I didn't know it. Thank you very much for your help

Ironic though it may seem Q8's bill could/should have been higher. It doesn't include the Centa output coupling (2), which according to the parts diagram is not included in the Centa kit (19) either, but would most certainly have been fitted!

Really ? So how much is it for the complete Centa unit ? I was thinking about buying it for my 3W but, honestly, the last rubber failure stopped me. I'm still interest in any kind of update for my 3W but not now.
