Flowman - IAM probably don't bother because modern cars don't have any way of mounting a bar. Unless you're a DaveW innovator.
Badges do reduce airflow - that's why mine are mounted low without a bar, so don't go mad.

I'm a massive anti-badge bar person ( although I was in the Scouts) simply because however you play it there is bound to be some cooling issue. That having been said, I mumbled about this before and Dave of SW19 did come up with a solution which was both sensible and stylish  You should NOT take this as an admission I was wrong  G

I read in an article about cooling problems that badges should be avoided.
So I've had a badge bar fitted and can't wait to start hunting for suitable adornments. I agree that they should be "earned" though. Strangely the IAM don't do them for badge bars anymore Probably not on +8. The badge bar on RTA is mounted upside down - the bar sits below the bumper, thus reducing the effect on cooling (but the bar has to come off for any adjustments/changes to badges). IAM - I have a green badgee, but no longer have a bike to mount it on... Badges are pretty difficult to mount on modern cars... Cheers,

What is this thing about badges....apologies for upsetting a few people but I think they look hideous as do other cosmetic adornments such as spare wheel covers and embossed headrests and other sorts of Bling.

Don't be sorry. You haven't seen the Light yet Like mechanical watches, expensive cars, eau de toilette, black tie, badges are useless. That's why they are essential...

Folks, I have a few badges on the front of "Tafie" see picture link below. I haven't noticed any problems with cooling and the car runs at the same temp whether the badge bar is in place or not -- I checked!!!!(sad, I Know  ) Perhaps it is the cooling effect of the very attractive lower grille and air deflector I have fitted. I would be very happy to have a TM badge
The badge I posted on page 1 was made by our forum Old Morgan Addict. This is the first edition we made in 2008. The second edition, with a different color scheme, is currently under fabrication.

Perhaps it is the cooling effect of the very attractive lower grille and air deflector I have fitted. Let me say first of all that I endorse your good taste in fitting that fine lower grille, but can I just ask why it is in a different colour to the body of the car?

I spotted Robbie's very fine lower grille on PH- nice bit of kit. So far as badges are concerned, my cooling issues notwithstanding, I actually like'em- I just display them in my garage on the walls so, I'm all for a TM badge G
