My 1994 plus 4 has the Perspex wind deflectors fitted onto the windscreen and I’m not sure they look right. I know they’ll come off easy enough but what size are the screws that will need replacing? Not of my metric screws will fit so I think they’re either UNF or BA. Anyone know the size and where I’d get replacements please?

I got mine from Ebay and you are right they aren’t metric I’ll look back and see if I made a note of what they are One way you can do it is to measure the precise diameter in mm’s using a gauge and then consult the UNF and BA charts to identify the correct size machine screw Just remember 25.4mm to an inch when doing your calcs

The note I have made from another forum is that they are 10-32
However I did visit the company that makes the screens and they said the screws are 1/4 whitworth. I have a spare screen and will check

I have checked my spare screen (9 stud) and a 2 BA screw fits, and a 10-32 will also fit, the tpi is very close. I expect the original fit is 2BA and someone in the USA has found that a 10-32 does the job

Thanks everyone. Found a place where they’re literally pennies each so ordered a set of BA and also the 10-32 just in case. Thanks again

I checked a couple of windscreen frames I have stored away, which includes a factory 'easy up', and they have the same thread.

Just to close this out, the correct size is 2BA. The 10-32 would fit (by forcing it) but I think it would ultimately knacker the thread. Or, at least this was the case on my plus 4
