Hello all! inspired by Andy and his post: http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/538966/1I went ahead and placed an order for the following from Wolf Performance: Rebound Spring Gaiters and Bearings (Pair) Steering Bearing Kit (Pair) Mulfab Panhard Rods (full kit) Wide Body Mulfab Brake Reac on Stays (pair) Mulfab Uprated Springs (pair) New Elms Rebound Springs (pair) AVO Front Dampers MOG1 (Pair) Road AVO Rear Dampers MOG6 (Pair) Road I am currently waiting patiently for their delivery but will probably install everything this September due to time constraint. I saw from Andy's thread that quite a few 4/4 owners have been down this path. I am hoping for a transformation of ride and handling. Engine modifications should follow this winter! Cheers!

Some other concerns focus on the rear suspension. Mine sits a bit high like most Sports and I read that the leaf springs where made for heavier Morgans (i.e. with rear mounted spares). Has anyone anybody remedied this or/and fitted upgraded springs? Finally, is there a need for a rear anti-trump bar in the 1.6 4/4 Sport?

I would say an anti tramp bar is not needed for the 4/4. On a Roadster it really helps but I doubt the 4/4 has the torque to "wind up" the leaf springs enough to make it worthwhile.

I fitted replacement leaf springs to my 4/4 sport as the originals were sagging on the right hand side and were made for a very light car. The new ones are 4 seater springs from Mulfab. and they raise the height by about 15mm but give a much smoother ride, better handling and prevents hitting the bump stop and grounding on road bumps/humps. These were paired with AVO adjustables which are on a medium setting. Much better ride and well worth the expense. The leaf springs are a pig to fit as access on the sport is very limited. Get in touch with Cain at Wolf performance about the wonderful leaf compression tool which makes fitting simpler and less dangerous than using G cramps. I have stiffer rebound springs and hard chrome kingpins with phosphor bronze bushes & steering bearings at the front - these made an enormous difference - thanks to Spanner Juggler`s sound advice. If you`ve got the original kingpins it might be worth replacing them whilst you have the front end in bits. As the Sport sits quite low anyway I would not suggest lowering it any more unless using on very smooth roads or for racing only. Mine has not grounded at all since raising it slightly with the replacement springs - those few mm makes a big difference.

Ok, but as my car already sits high in the back, I wouldn't want it any higher.

Looks like the back axle needs to be moved backwards.

I am a little surprised about the height of your 4/4, Vassilis. I have exactly these four-seater leaf springs we're talking about. If you zoom in on my avatar, you can still see the car in high resolution. I have to check again if the garage has added extra blocks to get the car lower, but I'm pretty sure that this is not the case. Others may know better but I can not imagine that the weight of the additional spare wheel has so much influence on the height.

Looks like the back axle needs to be moved backwards. Yes it was like this when I bought it a year ago. What could have caused this? Is it easily fixed you think?
