The plate is a damper blade which your car won't have.
Guidance on greasing is here by year of build. You have bearings instead though I note the article still refers to a damper blade.

Originals.

I fitted DaveW's gaiters to the lower springs as soon was I got the car home. It's the best I have done so far - the previous car never did as well.

+1

And a rebound spring gaiter makes a huge difference - the grease on the exposed king pin attracts road dust and grit which accelerates wear in the lower bush.

I remember Mike Duncan telling me once that he rarely changes the upper bush on cars as it wears so little compared to the lower one which gets all the crud.

A bit of advice needed, if you'd be so kind.

Having had enough of juggling with a lever style grease gun I thought one of these blighters might be easier to use for my remote kingpin nips.

Is the 6k PSI figure of any significance? I don't want to do any damage.

Thanks.

Sorry, I thought it would be a link. Apparently, I don't get on well with technology.

A lever style gun will have that capability more so than the trigger type, you’d need a grip like Mike Tyson to achieve it - it’ll be fine.

It seems pretty expensive as well. I good lever gun works better.
I do though have one of these for touring.

I also use a grease gun coupler. That makes it much easier.
