Is it me or do we all have trouble getting fuel in the tank.  My Series 1 'clicks' off at anything but a trickle.

I can brim it but have to hold it half out and then lack of concentration means petrol soaked shoes  BtG

I believe that problem stems for the fact the fuel cap (and pipe) is from a motorcycle. I could never get my tank to show full and if I pushed it past the point where it wanted to 'cut off' due to back pressure, the tank would start to spill fuel onto the boot.
Not a very good design, truth be told.

I believe that problem stems for the fact the fuel cap (and pipe) is from a motorcycle. Would I be correct in thinking that Morgan use a Yamaha tank top for the Aero 8?

Yes, and as Simon says it is not a very satisfactory solution to the problem.

Roderich Yes, it is terrible that you were forced to deal with this Roderich - just not acceptable. If, as Aeroman has said, you've found a solution, it would be worth posting it in the Trad section as there may be others out there with the same issue. Cheers Simon

Usually gets a bit 'clicky' at BP stations. Always seems to be BP, and I guess they just force the petrol out faster or something.
One remedy I ahve found is to twist the pump handle nozzle round 180 degrees so the handgrip is furthest away from you standing at the rear - that seems to help speed up the flow you can use if not completely curing the issue.
