Good work GLLOQ!

The UK team (me & NippyMog) have been working on a kit that allows a standard Harley V-Rod crank position sensor to be used on the X-Wedge.

It's basically a machined sandwich spacer.

I hope to offer a kit including the sensor, spacer, extension lead and longer mounting screw.

Initial testing has gone well but I need to put a few more miles on it before being 100% confident. Watch this space!

Bunny, do you need the extension lead? The lead on mine is only about a foot long and connects to the loom adjacent to the oil filter next to the regulator multi plug.

Bravo Bunny I think the lack of sensor problem will be solved, I'm also looking at the Mercedes Smart sensor if it is possible to do something with it.
I don't have time to drive with the Kia sensor yet.

The standard crank position sensor connection plug is located above the starter motor - so I would say yours has been previously modified for some reason?

Yes, mine is around the starter motor too. Dab of Oppo: I guess you have some kind of interim/development loom? Certainly every CPS I've seen has a long lead.

The whole 10 year build program was interim/development.

roflMine is older than yours (June 2012) and has the CPS connector in the 'normal' place. thinking

I did 900 km with the Kia sensor before putting the original back, I just received two more to try to integrate my O-ring like the original one, I also received the Mercedes Smart sensor which did not no need to be reduced in diameter and which is 3.9 mm longer and the length of the fixing center distance is different from 4 mm and could be mounted with an O-ring which fits with the conical inlet of the crankcase.

I'm still waiting for electrical connectors

the diameter of the Mercedes is 14.9 mm, it is 3.8 mm longer and the mounting distance is 4 mm shorter.
