Phil B says about 440 lbft for a full sized nut is correct.

FWIW when he refitted mine a few months ago he used a flat washer and loctite but no star washer

Red Leader, that is a heck of a lot of torque! Thank you.

I wonder how you can get that much torque on that nut? What kink of tool?

An approx 3ft lever and a 150 lb person on the end...........

Can't remember what torque I tightened my one to, but it was definitely tight with a capital "F"

440 lb ft doesn't seem like the right torque to me, t seems to me that MMC says 24 mkg, for my 3w is 28 mkg.

Morgan state 170 lbs/ft, Phil Bleazey uses 440 lbs/ft, which I believe is based on the specified torque for a 7/8 UNF nut. Note though Morgan only use a half nut whereas Phil uses a full nut.

seems like Morgan quality is always just a half nut pantsdown

I bet she would be a dab hand with the 3 wheeler, 2nd hand head gasket and not a torque wrench in sight, lush.
