Your solution looks very nice.
Personally, I am always afraid that aluminium loaded with weight will break due to vibrations.
I have only good experiences with aluminum, even with additional weight, on a Harley. And a Dyna without balance shaft has viberationen without end The weight of the mainly plastic horns is minimal and the cantilever bracket at 6mm thickness provides a strong support. Been fitted for 3 years including numerous high vibration/rpm track days without issue. Loctite thread locker was used on the horn support screws.

Mounted my twin horns well out of the way behind the radiator on a bracket gismo I fabricated from sheet aluminium and off cuts. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2022/07/18/IMG_3021.jpg) That's taking engineering to an art form Chris Given your qualifications I'm sure a load and stress assessment was calculated in advance

Thank you all for the explanations ! I did not want to critisize someone or the work! Many years ago I prepared my bike for a longer trip through norway. I glued a remote control for my walkman with cable (30x60mm/complete weight about 100gr.) On a fitting 4mm aluminium plate. This was fitted to the handlebar of my CX500. At the second day the plate fell of! That is an experience I'll never forget.....

Bmgermany ... it would probably never have happened if Honda had got the cylinders on straight!! 🤣
Chris describes his bracket as 'aluminium sheet' .... I think 'aluminium plate' would be a better description ... that's pretty chunky stuff!!

K Hmmm, I have sometimes said something similar to motorcyclists with American motorbikes

It wouldn't have lasted a day on my T140V Bonnie. That was a bone shaker.
