Yesterday I removed the frontwheels for a intensive clean.

But when I fit the left frontwheel the wheel was blocked. I think the pistons of the caliper don‘t work. For a check (and clean, and also some „ATE Bremsenfett“) I want to remove the caliper. So far no problem.

But for the correct fitting of the caliper, what‘s the correct torque for the caliper-screws.

I think it may be that the brake pad has stuck to the disc, particularly if you have used water. I often get this problem if I have been out in the rain and then left the car for a few days.
With the car on all four wheels, try moving it back and forth and you might hear a bang as the pads let go. If successful, you then need to clean up the rusty patch that will be seen on the disc.

That‘s an idea and the first step. But the most times I‘m on the bad sides. You Knie: „The German Angst“ ;-)

As Doug said,

no fear, the brakepads where only a little „clued“ after the last journey in the wet. Out of the garage and a few miles, problem cured.
Also checked: both fronthubs/ wheelnuts where cold.
