According to one of the launch videos, yes; but it doesn't seem to be an option on the configurator.

Well I do like it , the summer wings and the Marcos tail with the rounded hardtop window make sense as there is a heck of a lot less behind the seats room in the CX cars than my old plus 8. Dont need leccy windows or driver aids, and they obviously have spent time sorting the suspension and waterproofing with those new doors. The two issues for me are those outside mirrors and the blacked out grille , both not insurmountable problems. Though if I do win the Lotto an Aeromax might claim my attention more as a piece of performance art....

The BMW shifter is a selling point for you? Riiiight.

Objectively, its likely the (visible) component in that car that had the most money time and energy spent on it in R&D and design time. I’ve said before that it’s an exceptional piece of design and brilliantly tactile in use and that if Morgan had developed it from scratch we would all be tremendously proud of it.

The fact they don’t have a choice about using it makes it all the more fortunate it’s such a well designed and built component.

I don't want a modern car (and definitely don't want the snake's nest of pipes and sensors obscuring the motor in the modern takes of the marque. ) .... I can appreciate all the things you say above, and hope the car is a real success for the company ... but to me modern cars in total have no interest and in my garage serve as dull but efficient boxes to get the shopping. I understand that my requirements for a 'fun' car are a bit obscure, but they do it for me.

That doesn't make me a bad person or some closed-minded luddite (no offence George!🙂) ... modern Morgans aren't for me .... fine and wonderful though they are. A creaking, rattling, draughty 'seat of the pants' ride does me perfectly! ...and that's a check of 'my' reality🙂

PS.... I'm aware no company on earth can survive customers like me ... however there are plenty with other tastes who are as passionate about the modern Morgans as I am about my old one ... so all's good 👍

I appreciate the self awareness here. It sounds like your primary problem with the new car (2025) is that it’s not an old car (pre 1940s). That’s a reasonable critique to have as the passage of those 80 years have moved things along somewhat. I suppose the good news for both of us is that Morgan still makes new cars and one can still buy old used cars!

That makes two of us smile

Yep, I was chatting to some pals last night about this, and the way I put it, my 4/4 represents in my mind the perfect traditional British sports car: simple, fun, and maintainable at home entirely by me. I've had it for a quarter of a century and I know every inch of it inside and out. It gives me all I want from it.

"Ignoring the price, what would a new Supersports give you?" was the question posed.

It would be faster, smoother, easier to get in and out of, it would handle better, be more comfortable to drive, it would have better heating and cooling, the lights would be better, it would have a decent sound system, more internal space, better seats and in every objectively measurable way it would leave my 40 year old car for dead. I think the idea is flippin' marvellous and I hope MMC sell as many of them as they can build.

If I had the money, would I buy one? Nope, because they are simply not for the likes of me. To me the new cars, like their competitors Porsche and Aston Martin, speak of aspiration, luxury, of high-worth lifestyle, they are a Posh Car without a doubt. And I am about as far from posh as it's possible to get.

I'm taking mine to its MOT for the 25th time this morning. Hopefully it'll sail through and we'll have another year's scruffy but fun driving together.

Hamwich, I’m confused (not the first time). It sounds in your ideal description of the new car like you’ve exactly described the PlusFour, which is being made new as we speak.

Used PlusFours are selling for a bargain. Your future perfect Morgan might just be closer than you think!

Yebbut I like my car. I don't need it to be perfect, and I don't like the idea of not being able to maintain it myself.

And we need a new roof on the cottage this year smile

Time will tell no doubt, but I had fewer issues with my Four than my father in law did with his 992 in the same period of time. Will have to have a think about the forum name!

It looks fine in a BMW; it looks incongruent in a Morgan. Clearly, MMC can do no wrong in your eyes. Good for you that you enjoy their products so much.
