I added a band to the Valve lever see the other thread for overall results, I believe its working as best it can in a Morgan.

Looks interesting for me, but only if it works as an on/off valve.

There are only two pins to the solenoid/motor Peter so looks like it could only be such. The low price seems to confirm wink

It's really hard to tell when they don't provide enough detail, not even the ID diameter of the ports.

Given it has four hose unions I don't see how you can conclude it's a three port valve Mark thinking

Standard heater hose is 16mm (⅝") i/d and this is a heater valve so no worries there.

Update.

I eventually finished this project and fitted a Bowden Choke Cable so the valve can be opened/closed without having to get my hand through to the little lever.

I mounted one end on top of the heater matrix, it was going under the leading edge but it made getting the lid of the fuse box a bit tricky.

I had to make a bracket for the other end and crimped an electrical connector to the end to go over end of the lever.

Tested and works ok at the moment.

I considered trying to get the cable through to the cabin and even attached to the existing heater control knob but both were too difficult so went for the easiest option.

Regards

Neat solution Mark which hopefully acheived the desired results thumbs

Assuming you employed a bypass valve similar in action to one above, I cannot see how there would be any flow through heater core from any small leak via butterfly valve when in bypass mode, reference comments made earlier in this thread. This since same leakage would be presented to each end of core, cancelling any flow thinking
