New to Talk Morgan

Misting Gauge
I've never driven a Morgan before and I was quite surpised to see misting in two out of three gauges. However this seems to be a known issue: Maintenance and Servicing: Workshop note - Misting gauges Is this a common issue or a rather rare occurrence?

My plus 4 did it regularly. The Healey doesn't once the normal footwell temperature gets up to shoe melting capability. Agree the fuel gauge is the worst for it.

The speedo on my Aero +8 mists up once the ambient temperature is below 19c.
I wonder if changing the glass for perspex would be the answer? Quite hard to do I should think.

The glass fronted instruments on my 1930 Sunbeam tourer never mist up. The polycarbonate instruments on my Piaggio scooter used to mist.

I went for LED bulbs, now only the fuel gauge is an issue and it is not as bad as the heating effect is lower. But I have single gauges.
The LED light though is bright white so I am trying with bulbs painted with yellow headlight paint to see if that helps tone it down a bit.

If Lucozade bottles still come wrapped in yellow plastic you could use that. Or try some orange Lens repair tape.
