Did another 60 mile run back from Sussex to Surrey / Kent borders yesterday and again car was great fun. Stability was fine. Bumpsteer is only an issue on pretty poor roads at medium speeds. Man hole bunps on A roads give some kickback but the car stays pretty true and I'm ok with it.

On the way down M23 did about 75mph but then slowed to 65ish and kept well back from other vehicles. I had a leather flying helmet and goggles over a motorcycle warm face and neck balaclava and stayed warm. Balaclava is slightly padded and gives some small protection from stones too.

On way back used beanie hat pulled down over sunglasses with balaclava. Not so good thermally but less wind noise in my ears. Will find the ideal combination soon! Will try my proper bike helmet soon but feel a bit daft wearing that (although it is possibly the most sensible thing to wear.

The noises from the bevel box - now at 590 miles - seem to have got worse rather than better... I am not convinced that I have one of the latest batch on mine. Fairly quiet at low speed but by 45 mph or so starts to get very noisy and shrieks a lot at 60 +, especially under load.

Is this still typical of others with the latest bevel box? I'm getting quite a bit of belt noise and squeaks too, and the clutch is now making some noise that I didn't first notice. What with the vibration coming from somewhere in front of me and a few other build issues it's going back to the dealers tomorrow.

Will be fantastic when sorted, but it is definitely not ok out of the box and this car was out of the factory 10th October - number 362.
