Replacement pillars, stronger and thicker at the curve have been made and this has (hopefully) resolved the problem. Replacem,etn 4/4 Sport windscreens are now delivered with the new pillars. (Make sure they are when your screen breaks!)
They didn't with mine in September. When I got the call from the factory to say it was ready, I asked if they had fitted new uprights, to which they replied no, there is nothing wrong them. Time will tell. £75 windscreen excess, £50 train journey, £50 fuel and 400 unwanted motorway miles on the clock. Not a happy bunny.
